This is a first motorcycle run to benefitting Girl Scout Troop 710, our community and Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay. This motorcycle run leaves from Wicomico Youth and Civic Center by 10:30 a.m. It ends at Billy Gene Jackson Sr. Park off Jersey Rd. and the fun starts at noon.

Fruitland's National Night Out Against Crime and Drugs
The Fruitland Police Department is preparing for its annual National Night Out against Crime and Drugs block party which will be held on August 5, 2014 from 5:00 – 8:00pm at the Fruitland Little League complex.
This event is designed to promote law enforcement relations with the community we serve. As such, officers work diligently to connect with residents, particularly children; offering food, fellowship, entertainment and activities for all attendees.
This event is completely funded through your donations, and 100% of the funds received go back into our community. I would like to request the assistance of your business to make this year’s block party another success for our agency and the community. As always, I do appreciate your continued support of the Fruitland Police Department. All donations are tax exempt as we are a 501-C-3 charitable entity.

4th Annual Art in Nature Photo Festival
Featuring a keynote address by world renowned landscape photographer Clyde Butcher. Jason’s Ice Cream Ride: A 4th Annual Benefit For The Salisbury Zoo
August 9, 2014: What better way to chill out on a hot summer day than with a cool breeze and a cold ice cream? Jason's Ice Cream Ride will host its 4th annual motorcycle fundraiser to benefit the Salisbury Zoo. The ride will start at the Zoo and continue to the Island Creamery in Chincoteague on Saturday, August 9th. Registration opens at 9:00am and the ride departs at 10:30am. The ride has raised more than $3,000 to date for animal care and habitat maintenance. Registration is $20 per motorcycle. Civil War Heritage Day
Poplar Hill Mansion is pleased to announce the return of our Civil War Heritage Day, Sunday, Sept. 7 2014 from 10am -4pm. West Wicomico Heritage Bike Tour
The Annual West Wicomico Heritage Ride Bike Tour will return on Saturday, Sept. 13. The tour will begin and end at Pemberton Historical Park and travel through the western Wicomico County towns of Whitehaven, Hebron, Quantico and Bivalve. Cyclers will experience 300 years of Maryland history along some of the most scenic roadways on the Eastern Shore.
Show and go will run from 7-8:30 a.m. Participants may choose a 32, 50 or 62 mile route and will receive a t-shirt, map and cue sheet upon check-in. Rest areas will be placed throughout the tour equipped with iced water and healthy snacks. Sag service will also be available. After the ride, enjoy an outdoor picnic and live music at Pemberton Historical Park until 2:30 p.m. Beer will also be available for purchase with a valid ID.
Register early and save $5! Now through August 15, registration fees are $35 for adults and $20 for children (ages 8-18). After August 15, registration fees will be $40 for adults and $25 for children. Registration is available online at www.PembertonPark.org or in person at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center Box Office (500 Glen Avenue, Salisbury, MD; Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.).
