Every year since 1963, the President of the United States has issued a proclamation announcing National Small Business Week, which recognizes the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners. As part of National Small Business Week, the U.S. Small Business Administration & the GGCC takes the opportunity to highlight the impact of outstanding entrepreneurs, small business owners, and others from all 50 states and U.S. territories. Every day, they’re working to grow small businesses, create 21st century jobs, drive innovation, and increase America’s global competitiveness.

Briefing from County Councilmember Craig Rice – This is great opportunity to learn more about what the County Council is doing right now and what plans are in the works.
Briefing from Universities at Shady Grove on their recently funded 4th academic building - Biomedical Sciences and Engineering Education Facility (BSE) – The Chamber helped to advocate for the funding for the new building. It will be a great addition to an already great educational asset.

Wine Tasting
The GGCC will hold its 13th Annual Wine Tasting at the Kentlands Mansion. Each ticket includes a wine-tasting glass and tastings.

This year’s wine tasting features a guided wine tasting tutorial four featured wines compliments of Pinky & Pepe of Pinky and Pepe’s Grape Escape. Also attendees will receive a special discount coupon to use that week in the Pinky and Pepe’s Grape Escape Kentlands store.
The wine will be paired with delicious food from Asia Nine; Nalley Fresh, Not Your Average Joe's; Savory Gourmet Catering & Events and fresh strawberries dipped in chocolate will be served compliments of the Melting Pot Gaithersburg. And bundtinis will be served by Nothing Bundt Cakes
Cost: Tickets are $35 for GGCC Members & First-Time Visitors; and $65 for Returning Non-Members.
