Whether they have loans from their own schooling or have incurred parent loan debt from their child’s college, borrowers can find that the student loan programs confusing and at times overwhelming.
Which payment plan should I choose?
Is consolidation a good idea?
How do I get out of default?
What if I can’t afford the payments?
Am I eligible for forgiveness?
These are just a few of the questions student loan advisors get asked on a daily basis. This session will answer these common questions and spend some time discussing the political landscape and future of the student loan programs.

This will be an open forum session so bring your own questions!

Wings for Life World Run

Wings for Life World Run
WHAT IS THE WINGS FOR LIFE WORLD RUN
The Wings for Life World Run is a truly unique and global race for both runners and wheelchair participants. Instead of a finish line, competitors race side by side to keep ahead of the virtual Catcher Car. Now in it’s fith year, on May 6, 2018 Wings for Life World Run participants in United States can also run together in Plymouth. Meet up with your friends, download the Wings for Life World Run App and join all the other people running until the virtual Catcher Car catches you of course. The race starts at exactly 07:00. The virtual Catcher Car takes off 30 minutes after the start at 15km/h and steadily increases its speed until the last athletes have been caught. 100% of all donations and the entry fees go directly into spinal cord research projects.

You can make a difference in their lives and others affected by the disease by joining us at 9:00 a.m. on May 6 for the HopeHealth Walk for Alzheimer's at DCR Scusset State Beach. When you walk, you help many in our region receive essential care and support services - free of charge - provided by our experts at Hope Dementia and Alzheimer's Services. Programs include: family care planning, caregiver education, support groups, respite grants, and more.

Feet, Fins, & Flippers 5K

Feet, Fins, & Flippers 5K
Use your FEET to help our FINNED and FLIPPERED friends! Join runners, walkers, and animal-lovers in a 5K run/walk to raise money for the National Marine Life Center! This is a fun, family oriented event.

The race begins at the Buzzards Bay Village Park, at the west end of Main Street next to the train station. The flat, scenic course travels down and back along the beautiful Cape Cod Canal. Ample parking is available. There will be a water station along the route accessible in both directions.

Prizes will be awarded to male and female runners in each of six age groups:  Neonate (12 and under), Pup (13-19), Yearling (20-29), Juvenile (30-39), Sub-Adult (40-49), Adult (50-59), and Senior (60+). Prizes will also be awarded to overall male and female winners.

AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION BLS CPR

AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION BLS CPR

The AHA’s BLS Provider Course reflects science and education from the 2015 Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC. It teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on high-quality CPR and team dynamics.

In the Instructor-led course, students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing. Students also complete a written exam.

Cost of the program is $50.00.  Cost includes instruction and two (2) year certification card, which will be emailed to you that day.

BLS/  BASIC LIFE SUPPORT is an American Heart Association CPR AED certification class meant for nursing students, nurses and other medical professionals. PET FIRST AID/CPR AND DISASTER RESPONSE

PET FIRST AID/CPR AND DISASTER RESPONSE
The course, entitled, Pet First Aid and Disaster Response, teaches student what to do if their beloved pet becomes sick or injured. Some of the topics that will be discussed during the program are CPR for your dog or cat, what happens if they choke on something, and how to do mouth-to-snout resuscitation. Medical emergencies such as seizures are discussed. You will also go over injury prevention, assessment, and treatment for broken bones and soft tissue injuries, such as cuts. Finally, during a disaster, either manmade or natural, a lot of things are going on. You want your pet with you if at all possible. We have to prepare for them as well as being prepared yourself. You should have a "go bag" for your pet as well as your family.
This course carries a two year certification card and certificate. You will receive a guidebook, reviewing everything in class.
Many people take CPR and first aid courses for their family.....now's the time to protect that "little furball" as well.
