Veteran's Day Open House at your Plymouth Y

Your Plymouth Y will be celebrating Veterans Day on November 10 from 10am-12pm with a Military Meet & Greet.  Bring the family and share a cup of coffee and conversation with our hometown heroes, both active military and veterans.  We will also be offering fun activities for the kids including writing letters to soldiers  and Family Boot Camp.  If you are a veteran or active military and want to participate please join us!  For more information please contact our Welcome Center at 508-927-3100

The South Shore Career Centers will be hosting thier annual November Veteran and Job Seeker Career Fair on November 9, 2017 from 1:00 to 3:30PM at Middleborough Town Hall. Over 25 local Businesses will be present, hiring for thier current openings.

As it's Veteran Appreciation Month Veterans' will have priority of service for the first 45 mins (1:00 to 1:45pm) and then it's open to the general public.

THE MYLES STANDISH 1620 (YES, THE COURSE IS 16.20 MILES) & TEAM RELAY WILL BE TAKING THE PLACE OF THE  MYLES STANDISH MARATHON & RELAY.  THE EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE ENTIRELY WITHIN THE MYLES STANDISH STATE FOREST ON SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 12TH.

(running distances for the relay are 4 miles, 5.2 miles and 7 miles)

?We have partnered with HopHead Events on America's Hometown Thanksgiving 5K, taking place on November 19th and will also be bringing the Running of the Pilgrims 5K to Plymouth on November 23rd, Thanksgiving Day.  Participate in the DRUMSTICK DOUBLE buy joining us for 2 of the 3 races or the TURKEY TRIFECTA by joining us for all 3 races at discounted registration prices.

Registration for both the Drumstick Double and the Turkey Trifecta are online options only and will not be available on race day

Everyone that participates in at least 2 of the races will receive a special race pint glass - registration deadline to receive the glass is the end of the day on October 18th

AWARDS FOR 16.20:
Overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male & female
1st place in the following age groups:  19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-60, 70+
Finishers medals for all participants

AWARDS FOR RELAY:
First place teams in the following age groups:  29 & under, 30-49, 50-69, 70+
Age group is determined by the age of the youngest person on your team

PARKING=  Parking for the full distance 16.20 race will be at College Pond in the Myles Standish State Forest

Relay Parking and Information on how it works
Runner 1 (running 4 miles) to start at College Pond at 8:00 am with field of 16.20 full distance participants.  Runner 2 (running approximately 5.2 miles) & Runner 3 (running 7 miles) can head right out to the transition area at the intersection of Upper College Pond and Fearing Pond Road.  Park your car in the designated parking area and come up to the transition to wait for your runner.  Runner 2 takes over while runners 1 & 3 stay right at the intersection to wait for runner 2 to complete their leg of the relay and switch to runner 3.  When runner 3 heads out of the transition, runners 1 & 2 drive back to College Pond to wait for their runner to finish. 
If you have spectators coming for either distance, we encourage you to all come in one car as there is limited parking and it will reduce the amount of traffic on the roads in the forest during the race. 

Car travel for the race will only be allowed along Upper College Pond Road from the start to the transition area.  For runner safety, please DO NOT try to follow the race course as some of the roads are narrow.

Directions to transition:
Take a right out of the College Pond Lot
At the intersection of Alden Road and Upper College Pond Road take a right onto Upper College Pond Road
Follow 3 miles to Fearing Pond Road where the transition area is located.

Edaville Theme Park is changing up our Where's Santa Train ride, twist and turns await our guests! Join Mrs. Claus, Santa Claus & Santa’s elves at the Edaville boarding station as they embark on a 45 minute interactive train ride adventure to find Mrs. Claus or Santa? Which character is missing this year? You won't know until you reach the boarding station! Don't worry, each guest will have a blast, while enjoying chocolate milk and a yummy cookie. Fueled by Christmas cheer including singing along to your favorite Christmas songs, dancing elves that give out shiny bells and lots of bright lights that twinkle in the night! Theme Park Open Featuring Santa VIP Train Ride

Enter the whimsical world of Edaville Theme Park an hour early with our Santa VIP Package Upgrade, this package includes admission to the entire park including Festival of Lights. Join Santa Claus on the Santa VIP train for a fun and festive journey around Edaville. Each VIP package includes admission to the park and a name badge so that Santa will know each and every person! Every child will receive one on one time with Santa, along with a special wrapped gift. As the train arrives back at the station, select rides will be open!

The Santa VIP Package is $44, under 2 years old that want a gift are $15. For guests who do not wish to receive a gift, tickets are $40.

Elites receive 20% off.

Please note: All tickets for the Santa VIP Train must be purchased through the Santa VIP ticket page to ensure your seat is reserved. Edaville requests that all Santa VIP Package holders are in line for the train at the train depot by 1:05PM, as the train departs promptly at 1:15PM. Discounts not accepted.
