As a response to the opioid and substance abuse crisis, our organization has partnered with Rogers & Gray to offer an affordable employee assistance plan (EAP) for local companies which will help colleagues and their families struggling with work or personal life issues.  

REACH EAP, offered by Diamond Healthcare is a confidential, short term, counselling service for employees with problems that affect their work performance or their personal life. A very affordable rate of $9.50 per employee per year is being offered.  

Join us for this informatinal workshop and answer any questions you may have.  

REACH EAP services include:
- Face-to-face, telephonic and virtual appointments available for both employees and family members.
- Support for supervisors who may have employees with substance abuse or other issues impacting their work life.

How to Select and Hire the Best
This workshop is for managers and HR staff responsible for recruiting and hiring employees.  Those who participate in this workshop will learn how to use special tools and techniques for:

• Sourcing candidates using social media (e.g., LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram), external job websites, employee referrals, educational events, and open houses
• Screening and selecting potential candidates for interview
• Preparing for the interview so that the candidate has a positive experience regardless of whether selected for hire
• Conducting an interview using a variety of techniques, including behavioral interviewing
• Evaluating candidates
• Extending offers and following up with candidates not selected for hire

In addition, participants will learn what interview questions are considered illegal and discriminatory, and therefore, put the company at risk if asked.  Participants will also be provided guidelines for making good hiring decisions and for establishing a clear recruiting process.

By using the tools and techniques and guidelines presented in this workshop, an organization should achieve better hiring results that lead to:
