Light in the Darkness - a Plimoth Plantation Christmas
Light in the Darkness: a Plimoth Plantation Christmas
December 12 & December 19 2:00-6:00pm
Take a candlelit walk through Plimoth Plantation, and discover a world of Christmas enchantment!
Begin your visit with carols and crafts in the visitor center, and then head onto the grounds with your tour guide. Walk through stations around the museum to discover the ways in which Native and English cultures celebrate this season of light in the darkness.
Warm yourself by a roaring hearth fire and talk with colonists about how they mark Christmas in the New World. Nibble on a holiday treat and laugh along with a traditional Mummers Play in our Craft Center. Hear the story of how one Native culture gives thanks during the winter solstice, and experience the magic of a New World live nativity. Whether you take the whole family or just that special someone, Christmas at Plimoth will be a joyful night to share with the ones you love.
Purchase a timed ticket for your tour, which will run approximately 1 hour, and make sure to dress for the weather! Tours begin at 2:00pm, and run every 30 minutes until the last tour leaves the visitor center at 5:30pm. For questions, or to purchase tickets over the phone, please contact Program Services at (508) 746-1622 x8359.
