Marketing - The Ultimate Frontier. 2-Part Workshop offered b

Many business owners have a New Year's Resolution to finally launch a consistent and cost-effective marketing campaign.  In recognition of that admirable goal, the Cranberry Country Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the Cranberry Institute and sponsor Rockland Trust, announce a 2-part workshop "Marketing - The Ultimate Frontier".

The first session will run January 14 from 9 a.m. to noon and the second will commence on January 28 from 9 a.m. to noon.  Both sessions will take place at the Boston Tavern, 58 E Grove St, Middleboro, MA.

Session one features industry expert Tracy Fernandes of Just In Advertising who will focus on branding and how to enhance marketing materials.  She will be joined by Steve Dubin of PR Works who will outline Guerilla Marketing and public relations that utilize low cost and hands on approach to moving the marketing needle.

Session two includes Todd Philie of Southcoast Marketing Group who will emphasize the benefits of social media and how it ties into your website through design and functionality.  Kevin McNally of Interactive Palette will review the importance of website development and tools that help your reach targeted customers. "What's Cookin`!" Winter Workshops at Plimoth Plantation

Can`t stand the cold? Hop into the kitchen with Plimoth Plantation and the Plimoth Bread Company! Take a crash course in wood-fire baking, discover the basics of open-hearth cooking, or go “Hard-Core” and take your 17th-century cooking skills to the next level.

Bread Baking (1/22, 1/24, 1/28, 2/11, 2/26)
Don your aprons and prepare to get your hands dirty with this crash course in wood-fired baking. “Thirded bread” from mixed corn, wheat and rye flours, and delicate white bread would have been familiar tastes to Pilgrims baking for themselves in wood-fired clay ovens. Join Plimoth Bread Company baker Tani Mauriello to mix, knead, mold and bake these early New England-style loaves.

Intro to Hearth Cooking (1/24, 2/11)
Learn the basics of one of living history’s most evocative practices, cooking over an open hearth. This session is for the novice hearth cook and will take place in the Henry Hornblower II Visitor Center. Together, we’ll prepare a 17th-century boiled dish and fry at the hearth. Become comfortable with fire safety and learn the difference between a cook fire and a campfire.

Tricks of the Trade February Vacation Programming for Kids!

Spend Your Vacation in the 17th Century! Go Behind-the-Scenes at Plimoth Plantation this February and experience what it means to be a “jack of all trades.”

Come to Plimoth Plantation during February Vacation! The Plimoth Grist Mill is open to visitors from 9-5 Saturday the 14th through Saturday the 21st. Our other living history sites are closed for the winter, but there is always something going on. Work alongside Plimoth Plantation’s artisans and learn their tricks and trades. Choose from ten different activities; collect experiences and track your progress with sticker books and online badges. The more activities you try, the closer you are to being a February Vacation Master.
