Enjoy the works of local artists at the Metro Galleries, while relishing in the ambiance of the holiday season. The mixer will last from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Cost is $5 for members, and $10 for nonmembers.

Philanthropy on Tap is a new event series that will highlight 11 nonprofit organizations improving the quality of life in Bakersfield. A partnership between the Bakersfield Young Professionals and Kern Community Foundation, the goal is to expose young professionals to the nonprofit sector by allowing charitable organizations to showcase their programs and offer ways for involvement.

A partnership of Bakerfield Young Professionals and Kern Community Foundation.

Provides a basis for the Chamber to act on local, state and federal government issues, works to create a favorable business climate, reviews city, county, state and federal legislation for Board positions. Meets every other Friday at 7:30 a.m. and once a month for a mid-week lunch.

Coordinates an event that promotes the city and the people of Bakersfield. A banquet and awards presentation focused on the positive attributes of Bakersfield's businesses, organizations and citizens. Meets monthly for approximately nine months a year on the second Wednesday of each month.

The New Year brings numerous changes to the way business is handled in California. A panel of local lawyers - Daniel Klingenberger of LeBeau-Thelen LLP, Jay Rosenlieb of Klein, DeNatale, Goldner et al, and Jerry Pearson of Young Wooldridge LLP will explain the new laws set to hit the books on January 1, 2016 to help our members keep up on the new changes and stay in compliance.

Check-in/networking begins at 7:30 a.m., and the presentation will follow from 8-10 a.m.

Cost is $25 for members; $50 for nonmembers
