Chamber After Hours Mixer

State Treasurer John Chiang will be in Bakersfield as part of a statewide listening tour to collect input from small businesses on how to best implement the California Secure Choice Retirement Savings Program.

The Secure Choice Retirement Savings investment Board was created by the state through legislation  enacted in 2012 to study the feasibility of providing an automatic retirement savings program for private sector employees without access to retirement through their employers. The Board is developing program design recommendations which will be presented to the Legislature early next year. If passed, the program would automatically cover all California workers without access to an employer-sponsored plan.

The forum is free to the public, but reservations are requested.
