Public relations for the Chamber, welcoming new businesses to the community at groundbreaking, ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremonies. Organizes and facilitates events where Chamber members network in a social atmosphere that also provides a forum for member businesses to showcase their locations, products and services. Meets the fourth Tuesday of each month.

Social media is becoming the choice of many businesses to reach out to their customer base. However, with so many platforms to choose from, which ones are right for your company and how do you manage them all?
Those are just some of the questions that will be answered. Amber Chiang, director of marketing and public relations from Bakersfield College, helped the college establish its presence across various social media platforms, and will explain how to:

· Pick the social media platform that is right for you.
· Determine who should be your social media voice, and what kind of voice that should be.
· Understand the ins and outs of social media dashboards.
· Create engagement through contests.

Check-in and networking begin at 11:30 a.m., and the session runs from noon to 1 p.m. Cost is $20 for members; $40 for nonmembers. A boxed lunch will be provided.

Provides a forum for identifying and discussing common issues and concerns affecting the industry and consumers, and provides counsel to the Chamber board on these issues. Meets third Wednesday of each month at 8:00 a.m.
