IT WAS 1955.
Our parents, Margaret and Philip Isely – poor, idealistic – started Natural Grocers with $200 and a dream that everyone should be able to afford a healthy lifestyle and be empowered to take control of their own health.

margret-polaroidThe inspiration for this dream came from their own struggles to afford healthy food and be healthy. Shortly after the birth of their second child, Margaret became chronically ill. When conventional medicine was unable to help her, she turned to the health mavericks of that time: Adelle Davis and Roger J. Williams. She used the principles in Davis’ book, Let’s Get Well, to heal her body with nutrition, which included eating nutrient-dense, natural foods and taking dietary supplements.

It was a call to action. After the remarkable improvement in Margaret’s health brought on by following this nutrition regimen, our parents became health crusaders. Borrowing $200 to help feed the family and put gas in the car, they went door-to-door in Golden, Colorado lending books on nutrition and giving out samples of whole grain bread. They would return a week or two later, discuss nutrition and take orders for supplements, the bread and other natural, nourishing foods.

Jonesboro Habitat
Our Vision

“A world where everyone has a decent place to live.”

Our Mission

“Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.”

Our History

Our parent organization, Habitat For Humanity, was founded in 1976 as a Christ centered, non-profit ministry work to help end the vicious cycle of poverty in our cities and towns.

Habitat For Humanity of Greater Jonesboro (HFHOGJ) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded on June 24, 1992.

Since then, we have worked to complete a minimum of one home a year. So far we have built 16 homes and are currently building on home 17 and 18.

Giving “A Hand Up” not “A Hand Out”

Our homeowners do in fact buy their homes, but HFHOGJ offers the homes we build for a zero percent interest rate, making these homes affordable to persons and/or families who have lower than normal incomes.

These homeowners then make monthly payments to HFHOGJ instead of making payments to a bank.

With So Many Happy Drivers in the Greater Jonesboro, Paragould, Harrisburg and Marked Tree Areas, It's Easy to See Why Central Ford is Your Trusted Source for Ford Vehicles

There are a number of reasons why so many drivers flock to the Central Ford showroom, so we're going to do our best to outline them all for you.

First and foremost, we're renowned in the greater Trumann, Jonesboro, Paragould, Harrisburg and Marked Tree areas for our superb selection of new Ford models, plain and simple. Of course, our love for these cars often brings them back to our showroom in a number of ways.

For instance, when it comes time to upgrade, many of our loyal customers return their vehicle to be traded in. These used cars are also offered to our valuable customers, some are even certified with the same guaranteed performance and quality as new ones.

Helping you find your next car is only the beginning of the Central Ford experience, though. From there, our team of financing experts will help you drive home that car you've been eyeing on your terms.

Of course, nobody wants to be forgotten after the purchase of a new or used Ford....  More >>

A part of our mission is to increase pedestrian traffic to our downtown district, and enhance the experience of our wonderful community. Over time, more and more communities have adopted public art initiatives to enhance their streetscapes, gain value through community art via cultural, social, and economic values, and inspire creativity. Fearlessly Brilliant encompasses a wide range of artwork for downtown Jonesboro, with emphasis on highly traveled routes and public spaces. Eric began his career in Jonesboro real estate in 2005, shortly after moving back to Jonesboro from the Gulf Coast of Mississippi. Building on his sterling reputation and considerable experience, Eric joined a Jonesboro brokerage in 2005, where he specialized in selling single family homes and was awarded Rookie of the Year in 2006. He has consistently been ranked among Arkansas’s top producing real estate agents throughout his career at leading firms. Eric and Ann Marie obtained their broker licenses in the real estate industry and opened their own office, Burch & Co. Real Estate, in 2010. Eric and Ann Marie attended many educational conferences and hired several coaches to make sure they are among the elite in the field and they wanted to share the success with their colleagues. They began a team approach and have grown that now to be an unprecedented, marvelous concept in our area that works like a charm. This success was again confirmed in August of 2014, when Eric appeared on The Biography Channel in Times Square. Eric’s high level of loyalty and integrity resonates with buyers and sellers as he approaches each real estate transaction with enthusiasm and intellect. His vast knowledge of...  More >>
