Hope Haven is a faith based, non-profit agency and has been a pioneer in its ministry for 49 years.
Established in 1964, the agency's mission is to help individuals with disabilities to unleash their potential so that they may live life as a part of his/her community, with as much independence as possible.  The organization is able to accomplish this mission by providing life skills training, residential services, employment training and placement, behavioral health programs and children and family services.
Hope Haven provides support to adults, children and families across Iowa and Southwest Minnesota, having served over 1485 people last year.
Globally, Hope Haven International delivers hope and mobility through the free gift of a wheelchair, thus far distributing over 105,000 wheelchairs to people in 107 countries.  Hope Haven also has staffed programs in Romania, Guatemala and Vietnam.  This past year, Hope Haven served 168 children and adults with disabilities in Spencer and Clay County.

Hope Church is a church that values God’s Word, the incredible grace of Jesus and the gospel, and loves the community of Spencer. We want to be a church that people enjoy being a part of. A church that helps people find their place in God’s story and live out their calling in him.

Every Sunday at 8:30 am and 10:45 am you will be encouraged by a message based on God's word, inspired by the music and welcomed by our church family. Our Sunday School program is at 9:45 am for ages 3 years through adult. Our program provides a safe, fun environment for kids and adults to learn about God's love and grace.

Our Youth Program offers students the opportunity to engage with God and build relationships with Him and others. Middle School meets on Wednesday evenings. 6th grade at 5:30 pm, 7th grade at 6:30 pm and 8th grade at 7:30 pm. The High School (9th-12th grade) meets on Sundays at 7:00 pm.

Kiwanis Club meeting every Monday at Noon at the Clay County Regional Event Center

Chamber of Commerce Office, Iowa Tourism Committee and State of Iowa Welcome Center.

As part of a non-profit ministry,  Proceeds go to support local and global missions.
Many Hands Market will operate on staff volunteers and donated inventory.

Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit housing organization working in local communities across all 50 states in the US and in approximately 70 countries. Habitat's vision is of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. By partnering with Habitat, families and communities transform their lives with the incredible effects of safe and affordable shelter, including improvements in health, safety, child development, economic opportunity and educational achievement. Our local affiliate chapter serves families in Clay and Dickinson Counties.

Non-profit organization which provides youth a learning experience
through the game of soccer.

Spencer Rotary is a service organization and a member
of Rotary International (est 2-23-1905).  We raise funds
to support Spencer community needs.

The Spencer Community School Foundation is a
501(c)(3) non-profit organization funded by donations, bequests, and annual giving programs.
(no operating funds are received from the State of Iowa or the Spencer Community Schools budget.)

The goal of the foundation is to partner with businesses to meet educational and vocational needs, enhance and enrich educational opportunities for students and teachers, and expand horizons for the entire community.

The foundation office is staffed part-time September through May.
