In 2018, Permian Basin Area Foundation will award approximately $500,000 in scholarships to students living in communities across West Texas. To recognize scholarship recipients and honor the donors who created scholarship funds, the Foundation annually hosts the Scholarship Dinner.

Our dinner traditionally welcomes a local and inspirational guest speaker.

All funds stay local and go to support families where there are children with special needs.   

The Odessa Links will be hosting its 6th Annual Links West Texas Hold’em and would like to invite you to play for a great cause. The Odessa Links is a local organization addressing the growing number of displaced and poverty-stricken families living in Odessa.This event allows Odessa Links to advance the cause of providing Continuum of Care services to those in need. The West Texas Hold’em event continues to grow along with the number of people we’re able to assist; this is all due to local supporters.

Festivities for this year’s event include a sponsor dinner with drinks, Texas Hold’em Tournament, door prizes, silent auction, and our infamous Losers Lounge. Donating has never been so fun, past participants have left our event with door prizes, silent auction items, and raffle prizes such as gift baskets, poker tables, grills, flat screen TVs and trips for two to Vegas.

Programs supported by Links West Texas Hold’em:

• Project HOPE (Homeless Opportunities for Personal Excellence)
• Program -Referral Plus Program -LIFT (Linking Individuals and Families with Transportation)
• Coordinated Entry (new) F

For over six years we’ve provided termed rent assistance, case management, referrals, and supportive services for vulnerable populations.
