Join us at 4:30pm on Thursday, September 27 at this special business relationship building event.

Sign up to showcase your business by purchasing a table at this event.  As you might have guessed, the theme is the State Fair!  Those who participate in the showcase as an exhibitor in our “midway” are encouraged to have a “fair” game at your table such as ring toss, balloon pop, pull a duck, or anywhere your imagination takes you!

Allen & Fairview, Texas sit right outside the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and both are multi-generational communities with an ever-increasing senior population.  This increase necessitates and welcomes active living communities, retiree apartment complexes, assisted living facilities and nursing homes.  In order to provide information and support to this demographic, the Senior Services Coalition is made up of member businesses that offer support services, senior discounts, transportation and living accommodations.  The purpose is to showcase and educate services and goods available to all seniors and their families within our communities in hopes of making their lives easier to navigate and find trustworthy resources when needed.

The Grand Dash Urban Adventure Race challenges your dynamic duo (team of two) to solve clues and obstacles throughout The Village of Allen. Think ‘The Amazing Race’, but with an Urban feel. Challenges can range from pop-culture trivia to local history. Your team will decode clues, solve puzzles, and follow trails that will lead you around The Village at Allen and straight to the finish line at Kelly’s at the Village. As a team you’ll work together on tasks that may be physical (running, rock climbing), mental (puzzle solving, strategizing), and sometimes even silly (singing, eating contest). While the details are kept secret until the morning of the race, we can tell you the contestants will average 3-5 miles on foot and overall winning times range from 1:30 to 2 hours.  Teams are limited, register today! 

 

What better way to wrap up a day of competition and hard work than with cold drinks, music, and games. Once you’ve finished the race, kick back at the after party and awards presentation!
