POEM Design Co. is part of the Mandaree Enterprises family of businesses that are owned and operated by the Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nation. We strongly believe in celebrating the potential for excellence of the human spirit by spreading the simple message, “People of Earth Matter.” Hence, our name, our legacy, and our mission: POEM, “All of Us.” 

At POEM, our name is a constant reminder of the creativity that binds all people of the Earth and a celebration of the human spirit poetry signifies. Our in-house artisans channel that creativity into eye-catching designs and unique products. We also invite people to participate in the creative process by offering custom products that are designed based on customer input.

The Prairie Bistro & Gardens is a unique combination of food and flowers!

Family owned, the Bistro & Bakeshop side caters everything from weddings to small office parties. We have a seasonal restaurant, serving lunches during spring and summer and hosting special event dinners. In addition, the Bakeshop has been providing homemade candies and cookies for the local community and shipping all over the United States for 30 years. 

 Formerly known as The Flower House, The Prairie Gardens is a destination shopping adventure. We grow our own bedding plants, create beautiful hanging baskets and containers, and provide perennials suited to our climate. With more than 50 years experience, our friendly staff is happy to assist customers create and maintain a satisfying outdoor space. We also carry a pleasing selection of garden accessories and home decor.
