BIRMINGHAM, MI - Metro Detroit’s favorite salon, Alex Emilio, will open its second
location in Birmingham at 730 North Old Woodward on April 11th. It’s first location, open since
2001 on Main Street in Royal Oak, has earned a reputation as being the leading salon in the
market responsible for the best cuts, color and style - a reputation the salon looks forward to
bringing to Birmingham.

Co-owners of the salon Emilio Giglio, Alex Lekocaj and Jenny Summa are eagerly
waiting for Wednesday morning when the doors of the Birmingham location will officially open
and their clients feel the same. “Many of our clients have been coming to our Royal Oak
location from the Birmingham area for years. When it was time to grow, Birmingham was the
obvious choice,” said Giglio. “We had been looking to expand to the area for quite some time,
and could not be happier with the space we now have for our second location.” added Lekocaj.
Evident by its loyal customer roster, the salon is known for its highly engaged, personal
and passionate stylists, who take great pride in making their clients look and feel great. Over
the past 17 years, it has consistently earned incredible accolades, such as being listed on Elle
