Be a lifesaver! Know how to spot a skin cancer

Knowledge is power! Knowing how to identify a possible skin cancer can be a life saving skill. Many times our patients are prompted by a loved one who happens to notice a suspicious mole or spot on their skin. We care about you and your family so our goal is to equip you with the information you need to spot a skin cancer.

No one is immune to sun damage. 1 in 5 Americans will be diagnosed with skin cancer. Early detection can save a life, so if you spot a suspicious mole please encourage them to get it looked at by a dermatologist.

The average wait time to get in to the dermatologist is around 30 days!  However, Blue Valley Dermatology recently expanded its schedule in order to keep wait times down and accommodate new patients. Please give us a call if you or a loved one needs a skin check.
