Overland Park, KS – Over a 25-year span, well-known Kansas City-area OB-GYN James Mirabile, M.D., FACOG, brought a remarkable 7,500 babies into the world and received accolades like the peer-nominated Super Doctor® for 10 consecutive years, qualifying him for the prestigious Super Doctors Hall of Fame. Though Mirabile no longer delivers babies, he helps women and men find new life with treatments and procedures that positively impact their outlook. The Mirabile M.D. team is comprised of highly trained RNs, APRNs, nutritionists and licensed estheticians that recommends programs specific to each patient’s needs from a full complement of services supervised by Mirabile, who is onsite daily.
“Retirement isn’t in my vocabulary—at least not for a long while,” Mirabile says. “My OB-GYN practice was enormously rewarding, but I saw that patients desired more than traditional medical care. Many wanted treatments and procedures to address overall health and well-being, supervised by a physician. That was the genesis of Mirabile M.D. Beauty, Health and Wellness and it has continually evolved with state-of-the-art laser treatments, hormone therapy replacement for men and women, medically supervised weight loss and gynecologic care.”
After he stopped practicing obstetrics in 2009, Mirabile chose to focus on the gynecological and hormone therapy portion of his practice, which includes hormone therapy for women and men and other services like well-woman exams and minimally invasive procedures like vaginal rejuvenation and gynecological surgery. Recently Mirabile, a Key Opinion Leader for Geneveve, one of the non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation procedures Mirabile M.D. Beauty, Health and Wellness utilizes, was tapped to be a member of the Geneveve Scientific Advisory Board.
Mirabile also added a full complement of beauty, health and wellness services including MedCosmetic, one of Johnson’s County’s original medical spas and Medi-Weightloss®, a nationally known physician supervised weight loss program.
As one of the country’s most respected leaders and experts in bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (HRT), Mirabile serves as medical director for SottoPelle®, a proven and effective delivery method of HRT. He trains other physicians around the globe about SottoPelle, which treats the root of the problem and not just the symptoms.
“Research shows that hormonal imbalance is key to a healthy lifestyle for women— and men—of all ages,” he says. “While the treatment addresses a number of issues resulting from peri-menopause, menopause, andropause or lack of vigor and vitality, we’re also on the forefront of treating Traumatic Brain Injury or TBI, caused by contact sports.”

The Medi-Weightloss Division, which is a physician-supervised weight loss program that includes healthy food and patient education, was launched in 2010 and has helped hundreds of people lose more than 40,000 pounds combined.
