Maintenance Manager

Description:  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pumps, conveyor systems, and production machines.
  • Responsible for technical training/inducting staff and new recruits
  • Coordinate staff and contractor efforts to solve problems and optimize plant operation.
  • Participate/lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Identify parts, and consumables procurement need and prepare requisition/ POs for approval.
  • Understand technical drawings, documents, specifications
  • Maintain and improve safety control measures and improvement projects
  • Maintain and improve computerized maintenance management system (Fixx) for the facility
  • Develop, implement, and deploy maintenance practices that ensure optimal facility availability and reliability
  • Develop and administer OSHA/safety compliance training across departments to all employees throughout the facility
Requirements:  

Preferred Experience:

  • Technical degree

Required Experience  

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 8-years supervisory role in industrial maintenance.
  • Understanding of automated equipment and PLCs
  • Must possess strong electrical and trouble shooting skills
  • Leadership and development initiative

Payroll Specialist

Description:  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administers processing of organization's payroll and collects payroll data to maintain accurate payroll records.
  • Handles processing of employee status changes, analyzes payroll and employee expenses, assures general ledger accounts are reconciled; creates on-going month-end, quarterly, and year-end organization reports; and performs other rated duties as assigned.
  • Audits payroll information for accuracy.
  • Reconciles payroll deposits, tax withholdings, wage garnishments, and voluntary deductions.
  • Participates in problem solving and special projects within the Payroll Department.
  • Partners with HR leaders and teams to build a robust shared-services strategy, roadmap, and organization for delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality time & pay services.
  • Teaches, leads, and coaches, Managers, Supervisors and HR team members on all aspects of payroll.
  • Researches external best practices and continuously challenge the status quo by championing new, creative ideas.
  • Documents issues, resolutions and timing for all employee inquiries.
  • Provides other support to Finance management including maintaining files and performs additional projects and assignments in support of Finance as required.
  • Attends and participate in associated staff meetings.
Requirements:  

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field and 3+ years of multi-state payroll administration and payroll tax expertise; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Union Payroll Specialist
Acushnet, MA
Description:  

Responsibilities

  • Process and oversee full cycle weekly payroll (including regular pay, union, deductions & contributions).
  • Maintains employee profiles ensuring accuracy with pay rates and all deductions.  Ensures enrollment documents are accurate and filed with the appropriate agencies.
  • Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
  • Reviews imported timekeeping from Vista Mobile Field Time software in Vista accounting system against appropriate back up – foreman reports
  • Audit foreman reports and timecards for accuracy and resolve any issues.
  • Prepares a variety of reports as requested by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions and accrual balances.
  • Process, calculate, and issue weekly payroll checks.
  • Prepare weekly, quarterly, annual payroll tax reports and submit to appropriate governmental agencies.  Verify liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer's social security, and unemployment.
  • Reports 401k payments, and deductions to appropriate agencies.
  • Administers unemployment claims, file union benefit reports to several unions and audits, and all requested payroll forms.
  • Administers certified payrolls and complies with state agency requirements. 
  • Assist and resolve employees benefit issues as needed.
  • Maintains employee confidence and protecting payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Facilitate audit requests and assist in other projects as necessary.
  • Works with the accounting department ensuring accuracy of payroll invoicing and reconciliation.
Requirements:  

Qualifications

  • 5+ years processing payroll for multi-state payroll
  • Must understand and be updated on payroll related regulations (wage and hour laws, IRS rules regarding wages, Union contracts, etc.)
  • Strong skills in using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook are required. 
  • Understanding of Union Contracts, 940, 941, W2’s, 1099’s state unemployment tax and accruals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

=      Prepare monthly financial package including variance        analysis.

=      Monitor General Ledger.

=      Responsible for reconciliation of G/L Accounts,

=      Reporting should be timely, with the ability to meet deadlines for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting requirements.

Requirements:  

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

=        Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and five (5) years of related experience.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

=      Exceptional interpersonal and team-player skills.

=      Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and SAP software.

=      Advanced excel skills, including functions, formulas, data analysis, and modeling.

=      Financial modeling skills, ability to create complex financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning a plus

=      Experience in manufacturing environment with working knowledge of SAP Financial software a plus.
