Join the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce at 11:30 AM on August 18th for the General Membership Luncheon at the Wicomico Civic Center. This month's luncheon features Lt. Governor Boyd K. Rutherford.

Boyd Rutherford is the ninth lieutenant governor of the State of Maryland. He was elected to office with Governor Larry Hogan in 2014, and re-elected in 2018. He is the first Republican lieutenant governor to ever be re-elected in Maryland.

As lieutenant governor, Rutherford has been a strong partner with Governor Hogan, leading the administration’s efforts to combat the opioid epidemic, reform burdensome regulations on job creators, and break the cycle of poverty between family generations. He has also led the state’s efforts to modernize procurement practices, improve the mental health delivery system, and make Maryland a national leader in the implementation of the federal Opportunity Zones program.

The 2022 Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic, presented by Spicer Brothers Construction, will be held on September 30, 2022 at Green Hill Country Club in Quantico, MD.

This is the SACC premier networking event of the year, where business experts and community leaders from all over Delmarva gather for a golf tournament like no other.  

Participants say this tournament is unique, enjoyable, and a great opportunity to connect with colleagues and make new connections!        

The day’s festivities will begin with registration and breakfast starting at 8:00 AM, followed by a 50/50 Ball Drop on the driving range, sponsored by Choptank Electric.

The shotgun start is at 9:00 AM.

The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce and the Lower Shore American Job Center are proud to host their annual regional Job and Career Fair every fall at the Centre at Salisbury.

This year’s fair, presented by Quality Staffing Services, will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2022, from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM.

The regional Job and Career Fair is FREE for attendees and open to the community.

• Over 65 employers participate in the Job & Career Fair, and approximately 2000 job seekers attend the event.
