“Santa Swim” Charity Event at Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay

Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina, a waterfront resort located on Chesapeake Bay’s Eastern Shore, will host the 2019 “Santa Swim” to benefit the Care and Share Fund, a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to raising funds for individuals and families in need in Dorchester County.  Local community members and companies will make donations to take part in the annual event where they will take a swim in chilled waters of the Choptank River.

Santa, Mrs. Claus and their North Pole helpers will be on-site to pass out towels to each participant. Following the plunge, the resort will provide a “Survivor’s Celebration” with refreshments including hot beverages, chili, and snacks prepared by the resort’s culinary team.

The “Santa Swim” will take place on Saturday, December 14 with on-site registration taking place at 9:15 a.m. where each participant will receive a Santa hat.  Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will lead the participants to the dock at 10 a.m. For more information on Care and Share Fund, please visit www.careandsharefund.org.
